The Only Dedicated Natural Hydrogen Lab in the World

Our expertise and cutting-edge tools give us an analytical advantage to accelerate discovery and shape the future of clean energy.

Our team of researchers and lab technicians analyzes solid, liquid, and gas samples to produce high-quality data. Each sample contributes to a holistic understanding of natural hydrogen systems, helping us create robust models and tools.

We analyze rock samples for their mineralogy, chemistry, and physical properties to evaluate their roles in natural hydrogen systems. This data is used to determine hydrogen generation potential, whether hydrogen was previously generated, and how it may have migrated through and accumulated in the subsurface.

We analyze liquid samples for their chemistry, biological activity, and isotopic ratios. These tests reveal fluid origins and water–rock interactions, helping us understand geochemical processes where hydrogen generation and accumulation are most favorable.

We analyze for major gases (such as hydrogen!), noble gases, and isotopic composition of gas samples, gases dissolved in water, and gases trapped in rock. This provides insight into the history of subsurface hydrogen – such as age, origin, and migration pathways.
